Burlington 2016 Election Day Coverage: Unofficial Results are In

The unofficial results in Burlington are in.

BURLINGTON, MA – The election results are in, and Burlington voters have favored Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton over Republican Donald Trump in the 2016 presidential election.

According to the preliminary results from the town clerk’s office, Clinton won 7,551 votes, compared to Trump’s 5,413 votes.

In the lone local contested race, incumbent representative Kenneth Gordon defeated Paul Girouard Jr. by a count of 7,270 to 6,086.

Overall, 84.9 percent of Burlington voters turned out for the election. Here are the preliminary voting results.
