Burlington Dems Will Caucus To Select State Convention Delegates

The Burlington Democratic Town Committee announces Caucus to elect delegates to the Democratic State Convention.

BURLINGTON, MA -From the Burlington Democratic Party: Registered Democrats in Burlington will hold a caucus at 10:00 am on February 10th, 2018 at the Burlington High School Cafeteria to elect delegates and alternates to the 2018 Massachusetts Democratic State Convention.

This year’s state convention will be held June 1-2 at the DCU Center in Worcester, where thousands of
Democrats from across the state will come together to endorse Democratic candidates for statewide office, including Constitutional Officers and gubernatorial candidates.

The caucus is open to all registered and pre-registered Democrats in Burlington. Pre-registered Democrats who will be 18 by September 18, 2018 will be allowed to participate and run as a delegate or alternate. Burlington can elect 13 delegates (6 male delegates, 6 female delegates and 1 delegate either male or female) and 4 alternates to the Convention.

“Whether this is your first caucus or you are a veteran to the process, all registered Burlington democratic voters are welcome to see democracy in action by having the opportunity to be elected delegates to the state democratic convention where delegates will take part in electing the next Governor to the Commonwealth of Massachusetts” said Christopher Campbell, Chair of the Burlington Town Democratic Committee.

Youth, minorities, people with disabilities, and LGBTQ individuals who are not elected as a delegate or
