Burlington Installs Electric Car Charging Station At Town Hall

Charging stations at Town Hall are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

BURLINGTON, MA — Burlington has opened new electric vehicle charging stations at Town Hall, the town said Monday.

The charging station, approved by the Board of Selectmen in the fall, was built using Eversource funding for the underground infrastructure and another state grant for part of the other costs. The project was completed on June 10, according to the Department of Public Works.

The stations are available in the Town Hall parking lot at 29 Center Street. The town is charging $0.20 per KWH, a rate meant to recoup the cost of electricity. Parking is free for three hours, $2/hour for the next three, and then $10 per hour past that point.
