Burlington Parks Department Seeks Volunteer For 55+ Club
The Burlington Parks & Recreation Department is seeking residents to volunteer for the 55 and up club.

BURLINGTON, MA - From the Burlington Parks & Recreation Department: The Burlington Parks and Recreation Department has a social club for active adults 55 and over; it is called Club 55+. The Club is managed by a 5-member board of volunteers. We have a lot of interesting activities such as golf, tennis, bowling, bocce, sing along, billiards and whist. We are working on increasing those activities and developing activities that would take place during evening hours allowing those who are
employed to take advantage of Club 55+ activities. To make all this work, we are in dire need of a volunteer who has some experience in advertising to join our club.
He or she would write news articles to be sent to newspapers, the internet and other avenues to promote the Club. It is important to be comfortable on the computer and have minimal computer abilities to work alongside the board as this is a board position. The time commitment for this position is limited to no more than 3 hours per month including the monthly board meeting. If you have the time and this position interests you, we would appreciate your joining the Club. If you have any questions please call the Burlington
Parks & Recreation Department and one of our board members will get back to you. Join the fun and the satisfaction of helping active adults stay active while having fun. "WE NEED YOU TO HELP SPREAD THE WORD."
