Burlington Police Investigating Overnight Armed Robbery

Convenience store robbed near the Woburn line Friday night.

The Burlington Police Department is looking for the public’s help as it investigates an armed robbery that occurred Friday night.

According to Police Chief Michael R. Kent, at approximately 9:25 p.m. Friday night, Burlington Police responded to the One Stop convenience store on Winn Street near the Woburn city line. The clerk told responding officers a large, heavy-set man, approximately 6’1” to 6’3” tall entered the store and showed the clerk a black handgun.

The suspect took a quantity of cash from the clerk and ran off.

The suspect was wearing a white zip-up hooded vest over a black jacket, gray New Balance sneakers, blue gloves, and a green mask covering his face from view.

Police believe the suspect was monitoring activity in the store prior to entering, based on video surveillance footage. After the robbery, the suspect fled westbound on Mountain Road where police believe a vehicle was either parked or waiting for him, because a police K-9 was unable to track the suspect.
