BURLINGTON, MA — The following are excerpts from the Burlington Police Logs from Nov. 15-17. Information below does not indicate a conviction.
Nov. 15
12:38 a.m.: A caller on Thornton Street reported a series of five flashes of light coming from the woods by Dublin Circle. She observed the same thing ten seconds later. She believed someone was taking pictures of the property. Police checked the area and found no suspicious activity.
6:47 a.m.: Luis Sanchez, 33, of Woburn was arrested on charges of a warrant arrest following a traffic stop on Cambridge Street.

1:37 p.m.: Police responded a report of shoplifting at Lord and Taylor. Police were told that a black male wearing a blue and red sweater left the store with a coat and fled on foot towards the district. Carmelo Celestin, 25, of Malden was arrested on charges of shoplifting of over $100 by concealing and larceny under $250 by false pretense.
Nov. 16
3:03 p.m.: Three men were arrested for attempting to pass a fake $100 bill. Read more by clicking here.

8 p.m.: An Edgemont Ave. resident reported that a man claiming to be a town employee wanted to come into her home and search it. The person later left the area. The man was later confirmed to be a town building inspector.
Nov. 17
5:50 a.m.: A caller reported his vehicle was hit on the highway and the other vehicle got off exit 27 and was traveling on towards Burlington on Middlesex Turnpike. Area departments were notified and the alleged suspect was unable to be located.
7:17 a.m.: A caller reports that they discovered two counterfeit $100 bills the previous night. An officer is investigating.
5:04 p.m.: Emre Umit, 24, was arrested on charges of an outstanding warrant (other agency), a number plate violation to conceal ID, uninsured motor vehicle, unregistered motor vehicle, state highway traffic violation and a number plate violation following a traffic stop.
