Burlington Police Sergeant and K-9 Visit Pine Glen School

Glen School students welcomed K-9 Havic and K-9 officer Joe Papsedero to career day Tuesday.

BURLINGTON -- Police Chief Michael Kent is pleased to announce that Sgt. Kevin Cooney, K-9 Officer Joe Papsedero, and K-9 Havoc visited the Pine Glen Elementary School for Career Day yesterday.

During their visit, Officer Papsedero explained to students about the department's K-9 unit and his role as a Burlington Police Officer.

Students were then invited to tour the specially equipped K-9 vehicle and meet Havoc, a 7-year-old German Shepherd. Sgt. Cooney then gave students a tour of Burlington's new Mobile Command Center.

After the presentation and tour, students had many questions for the officers and were excited to meet and interact with Havoc.

"We are always happy to connect with the younger members of our community," Chief Kent said. "Our department enjoys bonding with students, and we are grateful to have been included in the Career Day activities."
