Burlington Public Schools Launches New District Website

Burlington Public Schools’ has launched a new website in order to bring students, parents and community members news and information in a more concise, consistent fashion. The entire family of sites, including district and school sites, are connected like never before, and you can start visiting them immediately.

We now have a separate site from the town, so we do have a new URL: https://www.burlingtonpublicschools.org/.

One of the first things you’ll notice is a uniform look and feel—whether you are at the district or individual school site. The navigation is consistent across all of websites. As a result, you will be able to find information more quickly and, in many cases, significantly fewer clicks. The district followed best practices for communicating with school communities, and we have ensured that the most visited items are prominent, including:

• News and announcements
• School and activity calendars
• Access to student information (schedules, grades, bus routes, etc.)
• Staff directories
• Lunch menus

You will also notice a responsive design feature that automatically adjusts content depending on what device you’re using to access the site. The website has been designed to be easily accessible from any technology device—computers, tablets and smartphones. Each view will be optimized for any screen size.

Websites today are always evolving, and Burlington Public Schools’ sites are no exception. We’ll continue to update the sites, adding content in the form of photos, video, documentation, and news.
