BURLINGTON, MA — One year after losing in a three-way race for two seats on the board of selectman up for reelection, Nicholas Priest found himself in the same kind of race on Saturday. But this year, Priest was able to oust one of the two incumbents running for reelection, defeating Christopher Hartling. Rounding out the race, incumbent Robert Hogan was reelected to serve another term on Saturday.

In the other closely-watched race Saturday, Burlington voters overwhelmingly voted 1,565-1,083 to change the town treasurer to an appointed position. The town had been one of only a handful of Massachusetts municipalities to have an elected treasurer.

The unofficial results for contested races will be listed below as they become available. Candidates listed in bold are the winners of each race. Candidates for reelection are marked with an asterisk (*)
