ComixCon Highlights Upcoming Events At Burlington library
The upcoming schedule also includes a wide-range of events for non-comics fans.

Highlights of the ComixCon include:
Comic publishers, creators, and retailers exhibiting from 10am-4pm (second floor exhibit area)
Jedi Training Academy hosted by Rising Storm Karate for children 4+ from 10:30am-11:30am (Fogelberg Area)
Marvel Trivia hosted by Buzztime Trivia from 11:30am-12:30pm (McIntire Room)
Superhero Magic Show with Awesome Robb for children K-5 th grade from 12pm-1pm (Fogelberg Area)
Demogorgons and Xenomorphs: The Horror that Influenced Stranger Things from 1:30pm-2:30pm (Fogelberg Area)
Cosplay Contest from 3pm-4pm (Fogelberg Area) – Cosplayers are encouraged to attend and participate
Open board game playing area hosted by the Book & Board from 10am-4pm (second floor exhibit area)
Virtual Reality hosted by VR Mindtrek of Woburn from 10am-4pm (second floor exhibit area); hosted by Microsoft from 2pm-4pm (McIntire Room) Used Book Collection Day – Saturday, April 6 from 10:30am-2:30pm
If you’ve been waiting to make a donation of your gently used books, audiobooks, DVDs and music CDs now’s the time to do it! The Friends will be accepting donations of any amount of your used items to sell at their upcoming Book Sale at the end of the month. Friends will be stationed at the back of the library building to take your donations—you can easily pull around to the back of the parking lot and drop off. As always, if you can’t make it to the book collection day we accept drop-in donations of one bag or less during library hours.

Youth Services Programs
The Burlington Public Library ComixCon is a very special event, for children and adults alike, which will fill both floors of the library for the entire day on Saturday, March 30, from 10 am to 4 pm. We will have events to keep you busy for most of the day. There will be Cosplay Costume Contests, Artists, a Magic Show, Virtual Reality, Panels, Green Screen Photo Booth, Marvel Trivia Contests, and All Day Crafts. You can even get your face painted by a princess. Join us for a wonderful brush with the world of comics!

Elephant Story and Craft - Thursday, March 28, 4 pm Listen to elephant stories then do an elephant craft with Amanda. K-3
Comix Con - Saturday, March 30, 10 am-4 pm All day event for all ages
Baby Sensory Time - Monday, April 1, 11-11:45 am Join Amanda for parallel playtime with other babies and loads of toys specially designed to enliven the senses.
Lego Club - Monday, April 1, 4-4:45 pm Come build with Jenna: we provide the legos, you provide the imagination.
Geronimo Stilton Book Club - Wednesday, April 3, 4:30-5:15 pm Join Mary for a book club celebrating everybody’s favorite mouse. This month we are reading Geronimo books set in exotic locations. You may pick up a book at the Youth Services Desk. We will talk about the adventures we’ve read while snacking on delicious cheese snacks. Grades 1-3 Playing is Learning - Thursday, April 4, 1-1:45 pm Family Access presents a free play time for ages 2-6 years old.
Acting Out - Thursday, April 4, 4-4:45 pm Join Mary for Drama Games that take a few props, your energy, and your imagination to create your own plays.
SAT Math Demystified - Thursday, April4, 6-7 pm Tutors from Shine In Academy will be here to help teens prepare for the Pre- Algebra and Pre-Calculus portions of the SAT exam.
Teen Lounge - Friday April 5,12, and 19, 2:30 to 4:30 pm Nicole will have delicious snacks for you to munch on while playing your favorite games. What a great end to a long week! Saturday Stories - Saturday, April 6, 11-11:30 Joanna will share songs and stories with you. Ages 2-6

Baby Storytime - Fridays @ 11 am (Starting January 18)
For caregivers with children from birth to 18 months. Delight and enliven your baby’s senses with books, songs, toys, and puppets. Build brain power.
Toddler/Preschool Story & Craft - Mondays, Jan. 14, February 11, &March 11

Join Mary for stories, songs, and a related craft. (No registration)
Toddler Storytime - Tuesdays and Wednesdays @ 10:30 am
For caregivers with children ages 18-36 months. Interact with your toddler with your toddler during storytime to nurture a love of books. Be active with music and movement!
Preschool Storytime - Wednesdays@ 11 am
For caregivers with children ages 3-6 years. Help your preschooler get ready to read. Enjoy stories together and build language skills.
