Congressman Tierney Visits Celebrate Burlington

On Saturday, Congressman John Tierney participated in the annual Celebrate Burlington Day festivities. Tierney spoke with Burlington residents about his campaign and shared his ideas for building a stronger middle class.

“This event is a staple of the Burlington community and it was great to be a part of it.  I enjoyed the opportunity to let people know that I will continue fighting for middle class families. I had conversations with folks about investing in our schools, helping small businesses, and updating our nation’s infrastructure to create jobs,” said Congressman John Tierney.

John Tierney is spending the August district work period meeting with constituents, meeting new voters on the campaign trail, and discussing the issues important to people of the 6^th District. Tierney’s campaign is picking up new support everyday because it is clear that Congressman Tierney shares the values of 6^th District voters.

“John Tierney has fought hard for us in Congress and has always put the middle class first. He has done a lot to help small business in the 6^th District and I look forward to continuing to work with him,” said Jim Murphy the President and CEO of the Burlington Area Chamber of Commerce.
