Dinosaur Program Tops Upcoming Events At Burlington Library

From Burlington Library:Science Sunday: Having Fun with Fossils and Dinosaurs – Sunday, June 2 at 2pm

Paulette Morin introduces audiences to the wonder of dinosaurs and our prehistoric past. She includes information on how to find fossils and over 200 fossils to examine. Come, share the excitement and see what wonders lurk beneath the soil and rock ledges of our region. Paulette has been an amateur paleontologist since early childhood. Having fun with Fossils and Dinosaurs is a multimedia presentation that combines storytelling, music and science in a unique combination that has enthralled children and adults alike. This program is sponsored by the Friends of the Burlington Public Library. Additionally, this program is supported in part by a grant from the Burlington Cultural Council, a local agency, which is supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency.

Adult Summer Reading Kick-off with Julia Glass - Thursday, June 6 at 6pm

Julia Glass is the critically acclaimed and best-selling author of 6 books. Join us to hear Julia discuss her work as she’s interviewed by friend and fellow best-selling author Hank Phillippi Ryan. Julia’s most recent book, A House Among the Trees, is about a world famous children's author whose unexpected death causes massive upheaval in the life of his assistant. A selection of her books will be available for sale and signing. This program is generously sponsored by the Friends of the Burlington Public Library.

We will have Teen Lounge May 31-June 14. We will also continue with our Saturday programs through June 15. We’re getting ready for Summer Reading, are you? Teen Lounge - Friday, May 31 and June 2:30-4:30 pm Kick back with Nicole at the end of a long week. She’ll have your favorite games and snacks waiting for you.

Saturday Stories - Saturday. June 1, 11 am Join Joanna for songs and stories. Ages 2-6
Lego Club - Saturday, June 8, 11 am Come build with Jenna. She’ll provide the legos, you provide the imagination.

Dads and Donuts - Saturday, June 8, 11 am Join Mary for songs, stories, and donuts. All Ages

Storytime Schedule

Baby Storytime - Fridays @ 11 am For caregivers with children from birth to 18 months. Delight and enliven your baby’s senses with books, songs, toys, and puppets. Build brain power.

Toddler Storytime - Tuesdays and Wednesdays @ 10:30 am For caregivers with children ages 18-36 months. Interact with your toddler with your toddler during storytime to nurture a love of books. Be active with music and movement!

Preschool Storytime - Wednesdays@ 11 am For caregivers with children ages 3-6 years. Help your preschooler get ready to read. Enjoy stories together and build language skills.
