Teen Computer Class: Starting Research with Wikipedia

This computer workshop will explore Wikipedia and how it can be successfully used to begin research. We will discuss Wikipedia as a whole – its contents, why it is considered an unreliable source, how it can be used as a springboard for research topics, and also how to identify credible sources for research papers. This workshop is opened to students in grades 6 through 12. Please sign up for this program at the Youth Services Desk (or call Youth Services at 781.270.1692). It will be limited to 5 participants and each participant will be able to work with their own laptop provided by the  library.
