9th Annual Thomas Chamberas
6k Cross Country Race
August 27, 2011
Great Brook Farm State Park
Carlisle, MA 01741
Brought to you by New England Track & Trail, the Thomas Chamberas 6K XC race is unique because it is both a competitive XC running race that is open to all ability levels and it’s also a fundraiser for a very good cause: On July 27, 2005 Thomas Francis Chamberas was born. When Thomas Francis was only 10 days old he was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis. Today, the race now raises funds for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation with the blessing of the Chamberas family.
Past participants have included first-time trail runners and Olympic team members, and various other top-ranked runners. There is team scoring open to any and all teams. In past years, the race is part of both the Eastern New England Trail Racing Series and the USATF New England Cross Country Grand Prix.
