“I can’t believe how lucky I was to get a job here! The work is fascinating, the people are all fresh-faced and full of bold ideas, and you can’t argue with the paycheck. The secrecy’s a little grating, but we’re doing important stuff. I haven’t seen anybody who’s clearly a representative, but I have it on good authority that one of our biggest clients is the military.
The only real qualm I’ve got is that I think they’re doing animal testing. Considering my field of study, I don’t think I condone that. The lab is in a secure area, and you can always hear moaning and screeching coming from down there. Not sure what sort of animal makes those sounds, but it chills the blood to hear it… funny, it sounds louder than usual- like it’s right down the hall.
