Welcome to Burlington Patch’s weekly feature called . This column highlights editor and reader picks of great local businesses, destinations, services, organizations, ways to spend a day off, and more.

This week we looked at great places for a date night in town. Here are five suggestions:

  • : Located in the Wayside Commons, this restaurant offers high-end entrees, including Broiled Fresh Lobster, Delmonico Steak, Filet Mignon and Double Cut Lamb Rib Chops, and features a wide variety of quality wines. The menu is a bit pricey compared to most places in town, but this is a great place for a special occasion.
  • : Located at 86 Cambridge Street, L'andana is an exclusive Tuscan restaurant that serves a variety of traditional Italian dishes such as mushroom zuppa, calamari, prosciutto di parma, tortellini and rigatoni. They also have an extensive wine list. Another great spot for a romantic evening.
  • : Romano's, located at 50 South Avenue, is a less expensive but fun option for a date night. With an emphasis on Mediterranean-style cooking, the restaurant serves dishes that are made with fresh and flavorful ingredients like tomatoes, olive oil, pasta, herbs, fish and seafood.
  • : Restaurants are great, but sometimes doing a bit of shopping or stopping by the food court for a snack can be a great way to spend time together.
  • The Park: Whether it be , Mary Cummings Park or the reservoir, getting outside for a walk or a picnic is a great idea for a date. Just remember to bring bug spray if necessary.
