Grand Jury Indicts 2 Haverhill Men in Burlington Home Invasion Case

These third and fourth suspects are the last to be indicted in connection with this October incident.

Two Haverhill men were indicted June 23 by a grand jury in connection with an October home invasion in Burlington, according to a Burlington police press release.

Keegan Fitzpatrick, 20, was arraigned June 30 and charged with four counts of home invasion, four counts of assault with intent to commit armed robbery and conspiracy. Jeremy Noone, 21, was arraigned July 8 and charged with conspiracy.

“This has been a long process and investigation involving multiple suspects,” Burlington Police Chief Michael R. Kent stated in a press release “We are happy to see justice served after almost a year.”

These indictments in the home invasion come on the heels of last year’s arrests of two Haverhill 20-year-olds, Connor John Tufts and Thomas J. Mahan.

Tufts was arrested Oct. 3 at the crime scene and charged with four counts of home invasion, three counts of assault with a dangerous weapon and assault with a dangerous weapon on a person older than 60. Mahan was arrested at his home in November and charged with four counts of home invasion, four counts of assault with intent to commit armed robbery and conspiracy.

In the early morning hours of Friday, Oct. 3, Burlington Police responded at 12:18 a.m. to a reported fight in the area of Church Lane. When police arrived, two men—sons of the homeowner—were holding down Tufts. The sons identified Tufts as one of three or four men who broke into their home with baseball bats in an apparent robbery attempt.

One of the residents was playing video games with a friend, when the men broke into the home and started beating the friend. During a struggle, Tufts is accused of pushing the 62-year-old homeowner down stairs, injuring his knee.
