Hit-And-Run Victim Was Burlington Native
Allison Donovan, 40, of Somerville, graduated from Burlington High School in 1996.

BURLINGTON, MA -- The woman killed by a hit-and-run driver in Somerville Friday grew up in Burlington and graduated from Burlington High School in 1996. Police are still searching for the driver of a pickup truck that hit Allison Donovan, 40, of Somerville, and another woman Allison Donovan, 40, of Somerville.
Both woman were taken to Mount Auburn Hospital, where Donovan was pronounced dead. The other woman was treated and released. Donovan was most recently principal at Lincoln Elementary School in principal. Before that she spent 16 years in the Watertown Public School system.

Donovan, who was on the Burlington High School gymnastics team, was the daughter of longtime Burlington teacher Jan Donovan. She earned her bachelor and masters degrees at Leslie University in Cambridge.
