Hundreds Hold Vigil For Black Lives In Burlington
Local clergy organized a vigil in support of Black Lives Matter and those who have lost their lives to police brutality.

BURLINGTON, MA — Hundreds rallied in Burlington Tuesday at a vigil in honor of Black Lives Matter and victims of police brutality.
The vigil was organized by members of the Burlington Interfaith Clergy Group as a "peaceful, socially-distanced show of support."
Demonstrators lined Cambridge Street along the Common and Simonds Park. Attendees were asked to wear masks.

Burlington Cable Access Television captured video of attendees kneeling in solidarity, which was done for 8 minutes and 46 seconds, the duration a Minneapolis police officer kneeled on the neck of George Floyd.

"Thank you to everyone who came out today to take a stand against police brutality in support of black lives," organizer Angela Wells-Bean wrote after the event. "We had over 600 people!! Now we continue the work for racial equity and justice. #burlingtonforblacklives."
