Police arrested Noel Semprit, 19, of Lowell on a warrant out of Middlesex Superior Court in connection with the shooting. They say that on April 14, a man was shot in the mall parking lot and treated at Lahey Hospital and Medical Center for non life-threatening injuries.

"Burlington is a community that is not accustomed to violence. Thanks to the hard work of our detectives and partners, we have sent a clear message that wanton acts of senseless violence will not be tolerated, and those responsible for such acts will be tracked down and brought to justice," Burlington Police Chief Michael Kent said in a statement.
