Interested in Public Service? Burlington Town Office and Town Meeting Open Seats
Papers are available for Open Town Offices and Town Meeting positions for the April 14 town election.

Are you interested in running for a town office or to be a Town Meeting Member? For those interested in public service, papers are now available at the Burlington Town Clerk's Office in for Town Offices for the April 14 Town Election.
There are a number of open seats for Town Wide offices as well as Town Meeting Positions. In addition to each Precinct having six seats to fill, because of the new Precinct 7 there will be a number of one and two-year terms open in each Precinct. Precinct 7 having been newly created, , will have 18 open seats. Representative Town Meeting is one way you can get involved in the local town government.

- Selectmen, 2 Open Seats (3 Years)
- Assessor (3 Years)
- School Committee (3 Years)
- Library Trustees, 2 Open Seats (3 Years)
- Planning Board, 2 Open Seats (5 Years)
- Board of Health, 2 Open Seats (3 Years)
- Housing Authority (5 Years)
- Recreation Commission (3 Years)
- Shawsheen Tech (3 Years)
Open Town Meeting spots:
- Precinct 2, 2 Open Seats (2 Years)
- Precinct 3, 3 Open Seats (2 Years)
- Precinct 3, 1 Open Seat (1 Year)
- Precinct 4, 1 Open Seat (2 Years)
- Precinct 4, 2 Open Seats (1 Year)
- Precinct 5, 1 Open Seat (1 Year)
- Precinct 7, 18 Open Seats for different term lengths
Number of signatures required:

For Town Wide Offices: 50 signatures by Burlington residents required.
For Town Meeting: 10 signatures by precinct residents required.
Any Registered Voter living in Burlington who would like to participate in Local Government can take out papers to fill these seats.
To be placed on the ballot they will need to get signatures from voters by the deadline which is Feb. 27. The Town election is April 14 at the gym.
