KinderCare Places Burlington Employee Accused Of Abuse On Leave
New details have emerged on the alleged assault of a four-year-old boy.

BURLINGTON, MA -- KinderCare has placed an employee accused of abuse at its facility on Cambridge Street in Burlington on administrative leave and said he has not been in the day care center since the company learned of the allegations. The Burlington Police, the Middlesex District Attorney's Office and the Massachusetts Department of Children and Families are all looking into a report that the employee grabbed a four-year-old child by the arm, causing bruising, and threw him onto a cot during nap time Monday.
All three agencies declined comment Thursday because the investigation is ongoing.
"As soon as we became aware of this concern the teacher involved was placed on administrative leave," KinderCare, which operates more than 1,600 day care centers in the U.S., said in a statement. "The teacher has not been in the center since the concern was raised on Monday and will remain on leave until further notice."

Parent Sheedal Adigi, who children started going to the center a few weeks ago, told NBC10 Boston she and other parents knew who the employee was and were shocked by the allegations. "He seems to be pretty fine with the kids," she said.
