Letter: Thank You Burlington For 3 Years on the Board

A letter from former selectman Daniel DiTucci.

Dear Residents of Burlington,

I'd like to thank you for allowing me to serve as a member of your Board of Selectmen for the last 3 years. Saturday, April 14th was the end of my tenure, however, I was fortunate to serve with a great board and am proud of what we accomplished. I enjoyed my public service, took my job very seriously, and worked hard to keep our government as open and as transparent as possible.

Burlington is at a crossroad with a new Town Administrator coming on board and the continuance of commercial development. Finding balance is crucial to ensure we don't give up the last pieces of land we still have in our community. I was a fighter to prevent the sale of the Landlocked Forest and hope our present board keeps up with that fight. Burlington is unique - we are structurally sound financially but, like many cities and towns in the commonwealth, we must hold the line on personnel expenditures to ensure we stay that way.

I thank all the voters who supported me and the great people who helped me with my campaign.

Sincerely,
Dan DiTucci
