Letter to the Editor: Thank You for Your Support at the Polls

With each Burlington election, I have been impressed with the seriousness of the voters, the dedication of the candidates, and the professionalism of the poll workers. It is no wonder democracy is desired by many around the world!
 
I would like to thank the voters of Burlington for electing me Town Clerk. The vote of confidence I received is a great honor. As your new Town Clerk, I promise that I and my office will strive to be worthy stewards of the responsibilities you have entrusted to me.
 
Jane Chew has set a high standard for subsequent clerks to follow. I would like to recognize and thank her for 26 years of dedication and service to the Town of Burlington. I will work hard to maintain the tradition of innovation, responsiveness, and quality that Jane has established.
