Letter to the Editor: Town Meeting Candidate Announcement

The following is a letter to the editor:

Dear Neighbors,

I would like to represent Precinct 3 in Town Meeting.  I have lived in Burlington for 20 years, raising my two daughters and actively participating in Burlington civic affairs.  I have been a special education teacher for 35 years and currently teach in a North Shore community. For the last three and a half years, I have been working very hard to preserve the Burlington Landlocked Forest forpresent and future generations.

I believe that there are many issues facing Burlington today which need to be addressed in both a fiscally prudent fashion and with concern for the values that have made our town successful. As a member of Town Meeting, I will work to balance the needs of businesses and residents, address traffic problems, encourage responsible re-development, protect our water supply and open spaces, and prevent flooding in neighborhoods.

Please cast your vote for me for the one-year term in Precinct 3 as we work to improve the qualityof life in Burlington.
