NHL Career May Be Over for Burlington's Pandolfo
Burlington resident Jay Pandolfo is likely to retire after playing his final season locally with the Boston Bruins.

Jay Pandolfo has been plenty of places during a successful career in the National Hockey League career. But according to a report, that career may come to an end close to home.
Comcast SportsNet New England reported that Burlington's Pandolfo, who spent the 2012-13 season with the Boston Bruins, could very well retire this offseason.
Pandolfo wasn't a major contributor this year, but he did nearly play for the Bruins in Game 6 of the Stanley Cup final when Patrice Bergeron's health status was in the air.
The veteran forward graduated from Burlington High School before playing college puck at Boston University. He also played professionally for 15 seasons including the recently completed campaign.
“Right now, that’s why I haven’t 100 percent made a decision. That’s why I’m more leaning more towards retiring," said Pandolfo, according to CSNNE.com. “To be able to finish here [in Boston] is pretty special for me. I’m not sure I’d really want to go play somewhere else at this point. I’m definitely probably leaning towards retiring.”
