Police Log: Noise Complaint, Road Blocks and a Home Robbed

Wednesday, August 13

12:27 a.m. - Police received a report of a noise complaint with the caller reporting the people living below him have their TV on too loud. Television was turned off prior to officer’s arrival.

1:51 a.m. - Cleaners found an unresponsive person was found in the bathroom at Shaw’s Supermarket, 180 Cambridge St. The Fire Department was notified, but the individual refused to be transported. There was no medical problem, just a communication error between employees.

3:22 a.m. - Police received a report from a Beacon Street resident that her indoor tiger cat got loose.

8:08 a.m. - An ambulance was requested to Stonebridge at Burlington to transport an elderly woman who fell and had pain to the hospital.

9:43 a.m. - Police received a report that a branch was blocking the roadway at Prouty Road and Holden Avenue. The DPW was notified.

9:58 a.m. - Police received a report that a dumpster was blocking the roadway in the area of Lexington Street and Laurel Hill Lane. Upon arrival, no dumpster was found.

11:31 a.m. - An ambulance was requested for a male resident at Atria Longmeadow Place who fell and hit his head.

12:55 p.m. Caller reports a truck blocking the roadway and facing in the wrong direction in the area of 151 Bedford St. at 248 Middlesex Turnpike Ext. Police were unable to locate the vehicle.

2:08 p.m. - Caller reports a tree leaning into the roadway in the area of Building 19, 156 Cambridge St. DPW notified.

2:13 p.m. - Hit and run motor vehicle accident at Wayside Commons, 6 Wayside Road. Vehicle was hit in the parking lot while parked at Wayside commons, receiving minor damage to rear right bumper. A witness supplied the owner with the suspect’s information.

2:53 p.m. - A resident of 4 Wilmington Road came home about 2:40 p.m. and noticed items were disturbed - forced entry through rear garage. There was also forced entry with what appears to be a spade through a wash room window. A television screen was left outside at the back of the home. Incident took place sometime between 12:30 p.m. and 2:40 p.m.

4:29 p.m. - Report of a shoplifter at Sears, 75 Middlesex Turnpike. A Boston man was arrested.

5:11 p.m. - Caller reports someone used her credit card to purchase a rifle. According to the report, it was purchased out of Texas and shipped to an unknown address. Police are investigating.

5:14 p.m. - Caller reports a female juvenile shoplifter at Macys, 75 Middlesex Turnpike. Shoplifter was cooperative, her mother picked her up and the store is not pressing charges.

11:37 p.m. - Police were dispatched to Fedex/Kinkos, 54 Middlesex Turnpike for a commercial burglar alarm indicating motion in the stockroom.
