Police Log: Several Vehicles Broken Into, Reports of Identity Fraud and a Stolen Go-Kart

Friday, August 22
12:24 a.m. - Caller reports party possibly attempting to hop the fence to a construction site in the area of Comcast Sportsnet, 42 Third Ave. Area checks were negative.

5:37 a.m. - Employee of Carli Convenience Plus, 324, Cambridge St. called to report a suspicious man walking around the store when she opened at 4:30 a.m. She is now hearing noises outside by the dumpster and is requesting officers check the area. Officers checked and the party was seen waiting at the bus stop, he boarded the bus and left the area.
8:47 a.m. - Report of a theft of cash from a purse at Birchcrest Arms Senior Housing. Reporter says $20 in cash was possibly taken out of her purse by a cleaning woman. Officers spoke with all parties involved.

9:36 a.m. - Caller reports sometime overnight someone broke into her car on Keans Road. Caller states sometime during the night someone entered her vehicle, which was unlocked and a phone charger and inverter were taken. Also paperwork was taken but was found scattered in the street.
10:40 a.m. - Resident of Druid HIll Avenue reports her vehicle was broken into overnight. Vehicle was left open - no damage to vehicle. Taken was a silver necklace and $200 in cash hidden in the bottom of the necklace box.
12:55 p.m. - Caller reports someone broke into her unlocked vehicle overnight. A packet of personal CDs was taken.
4:30 p.m. - Party reports someone used her daughter’s social security number to gain employment in Waltham. Party was assisted with an identity fraud packet.
5:14 p.m. - Caller reports her children’s go-kart was stolen from their Winn Street home. Go-kart was taken from the side of the garage and last seen on August 20.
7:03 p.m. - Party came to station to report his identifying information is being used to open lines of credit across the country. Incident was logged so he could contact credit services to take appropriate action.
10:13 p.m. - Caller reports two suspicious vehicles are parked near the liquor store at Middlesex Commons, 43 Middlesex Turnpike. Vehicles were gone when police arrived.
11:32 p.m.- Caller reports that his vehicle was just keyed by a female party.
