The following log entries were provided by the Burlington Police Department. Where mentioned, an arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Friday, Oct. 10

7:25 a.m. - Report of smoke coming from the basement of a home at 8 Kimball Court. Fire Department reports a burst pipe is causing steam.

8:53 a.m. - Caller reports when he stepped into Aprime Energy at 108 Cambridge St. to pay for his gas someone reached in his vehicle and took his wallet.

11:22 a.m. - Wires down in the area of 11 Beaverbrook Road and Wilmington Road. A large branch is blocking Beaverbrook Road. DPW was notified.

11:42 a.m. - Lahey Hospital security reports a male party, possibly drunk about to drive his car. Party sent on his way safely via Burlington Taxi to Arlington.

2 p.m. - Reports a motor vehicle entered the New England Executive Park at a high rate of speed Thursday morning. Business card was left on vehicle for operator to contact officer.

3:43 p.m. - Caller from Daniel Drive reports when he came home all of his doors were open.

5:01 p.m. - Caller reports a rabbit got hit by a motor vehicle and is still alive in the street in the area of the Shell gas station, 198 Cambridge St. Rabbit was gone on arrival.

6:16 p.m. - Caller reports an erratic operator of a red pickup with a white top hit a mailbox on Bedford Street across from Simonds Park then continued driving down Lexington Street.

6:17 p.m. - Resident reports a large plume of black smoke in the sky in the area of Brookfield Road.

10:38 p.m. - Manager of Extended Stay America, 40 South Ave., says a male patron has threatened the desk personnel. Officers assisted manager with removing unwanted parties. No crime committed.

11:37 p.m. - Male caller reported that four suspicious male teenagers were outside of the Fox Hill Elementary School. Also, one was up on top of the roof. Lt. responded and it was unfounded. Dispatch left messages for the two listed contact custodians to call PD back and respond to do a walk-through the school. Awaiting call backs.

Saturday, Oct. 11

1:23 a.m. - Woburn PD reports erratic operator heading into town via Winn Street. Police were unable to locate.

5:27 a.m. - Employee reports suspicious male was inside the store but has since left in an unknown vehicle. Requesting a check of the area in the vicinity of the Shell gas station, 61 Middlesex Ave. and to speak with an officer. Officer checked the area and advised caller to call police back if he returns.

3:13 p.m. - Caller reports a car struck her vehicle at Market Basket, 43 Middlesex Turnpike, and then left the area. Police have the vehicle’s registration and will attempt to notify owner.

9:58 p.m. - Resident reports a pack of coyotes in the area of 11 Randall Drive. Caller believes they may have gone after her neighbors dog. Police found no trace of dogs or coyotes in the area. No domestic animals were hurt.

Sunday, Oct. 12

12:35 a.m. - Caller reports malicious damage to a mailbox at 7 Crystal Circle.

10:09 a.m. - Caller reports her mailbox was knocked over during the night

of Oct. 11 and Oct. 12 at 2A Princeton Road.

10:11 a.m. - Caller from 8 Carol Ave. reports they have an injured groundhog in yard. Animal was gone on arrival.

3:32 p.m. - Manager reports a disturbance in Ritu Ki Rasoi Restaurant at 294 Cambridge St. Dispute was over an item she drank which was expired. Situation was settled for now and police advised individual to go to the Board of Health on Tuesday. Restaurant owner did not charge customer.

4:15 p.m. Caller reports a large pothole on Terry Avenue where the exit from Patterson’s is. Police noted the pothole is not large and is on the stores’ property.

6:16 p.m. - Caller reports hearing what sounded like gunshots in the area of Paula Street.

Monday, Oct. 13

9:23 a.m. - Caller from 6 Makechnie Road reports the cable wire leading into her house was cut sometime between 12 a.m. and 4:30 a.m. on Oct. 13. Comcast was at the home on Oct. 13 at 11:24 a.m. to repair.

12:55 p.m. - Caller reports a male party used his credit card to take money out of the ATM at Bank of America, 11 Center St. Says at about 12:50 pm. he withdrew money from his account at the ATM and while he was there, a white male was already there and appeared agitated. Complainant was intimidated by his behavior and left quickly after his withdrawal without shutting out his account. He became suspicious and went back in to ATM and discovered $400 more was withdrawn.

1:10 p.m. - Caller reports a motor vehicle struck his vehicle in the parking lot area of Market Basket, 43 Middlesex Turnpike. Unable to reach the female driver by phone. Witness information was also added.

3:43 p.m. - Kohl’s Security reports five youths in store who may be attempting to shoplift items.

4:09 p.m. - Caller reports a male with a backpack on the corner of The First Granite Place, 374 Cambridge St. Caller reports a male in a grey sweatshirt sitting by the wall most mornings around 8 a.m. Extra checks of the area requested.

4:39 p.m. - Caller reports motor vehicle (a gray BMW) struck his vehicle and then

left the scene at Market Basket, 43 Middlesex Turnpike. Police sent unit to the area who helped assist owners in paper exchange.

6:50 p.m. - Caller from Staples, 111 Middlesex Turnpike, reports they have detained a shoplifter. One man was taken into custody, Irwin Stampley, 50, of Harrison Avenue in Boston was charged with larceny over $250 and arrested on an warrant.

10:10 p.m. - Caller from Friend Lumber, 4 Adams St. reporting suspicious person. Party known to officer was seen removing scrap from behind buildings. Same returned items and was advised not to take scrap unless he is able to prove he had permission. Civil citation issued for possession of Class D.
