The following are a sampling of log entries provided by the Burlington Police Department. Where mentioned, an arrest does not indicate a conviction.
Tuesday, Oct. 28
11:23 a.m. - Caller from Arboretum Way reports scratches on the hood of his BMW’s hood
12:07 p.m. - A resident of Hillcrest Rd. reports speeding on the street between the hours of 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. Extra enforcement requested.

1:24 p.m. - Caller reports dog stuck in a fence on Irene Street.
1:40 p.m. - Caller reports a mid-sized white dump truck speeding back and forth on Muller Road between noon and 1 p.m. every day. Extra patrols requested.

1:47 p.m. - Caller reports going through the Do Not Enter in the area of 154 Bedford St. at College Road Unit: 62 between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. on a nightly basis. Extra patrols requested.
4:27 p.m. - Received multiple calls for a motorcycle vs. a truck crash on Rte. 128 south between exits 32 and 33. One patient was transported by the Burlington Fire Department. Massachusetts State Police to handle the crash investigation.
5:09 p.m. - Caller reports a road rage incident in the area of Dunkin Donuts on Winn Street. Female operator of other car got out of her vehicle and was banging on her car window. Police spoke to both parties and advised.
Wednesday, Oct. 29
4:46 a.m. - Caller reports dumpster at Domino’s Pizza, 53 Winn St. was just emptied in violation of the by law. Wanted incident logged.
9:53 a.m. - Owner of Spike’s Junkyard Dogs, 75 Middlesex Turnpike, called to report night deposits missing this am. Will call when he is at store later today.
11:51 a.m. - Caller reports wires down in the area of 160 Winn St. They are cable wires that pose no hazard.
12:17 p.m. - Caller reports being scammed by a person selling her a car from California on Craigslist. The victim reported sending $4,000 via PayPal credit cards to purchase a 2008 Acura MDX that was advertised on Craigslist. Cards were sent to San Jose, CA. Victim reports male representing himself as a seller had a strong Indian accent. Paypal cards have been cashed, victim unable to contact seller.
1:25 pm.- Caller reports being locked out of car with child inside. Police helped gain access to vehicle.
1:28 p.m. - Person in station reporting a confrontation with a male following a road rage incident.
2:16 p.m. - Caller reports finding a woman’s pocketbook in the parking lot of Dunkin’ Donuts, 10 Wall St. Owner returned for pocketbook as police arrived.
3:37 p.m. - Female shoplifter detained inside Macy’s at the Burlington Mall. $111 worth of Clinique cosmetics were recovered.
4:40 p.m. - Security at QSA Global, 40 North Ave. wanted it logged that a suspicious incident occurred at 1:30 p.m. today. A male operator of a 1997 black VW Jetta, was taking pictures of the parked motor vehicle’s license plates in their lot. Lieutenant spoke with operator of vehicle. Same is a car enthusiast and takes pictures of vehicles.Mother verified. QSA Security notified.
5:32 p.m. - Caller reporting a suspicious male walking down Wilmington Road onto Prouty Road. He is a white male, dark hair wearing a sleeveless shirt and brown vest and backpack. He looks unkept. Man was gone on arrival.
6:57 p.m. - Caller reports a suspicious white motor vehicle with a female operator parked for past half an hour on Black Horse Lane. Car was gone on arrival.
7:26 p.m. - Manager of Victoria’s Secret in the Burlington Mall reports four suspicious individuals in the fitting rooms.
10:12 p.m. - Caller reports a suspicious black sedan with a loud exhaust has been driving around the neighborhood of Keans Road at 49 Fieldstone Drive for past half an hour. Police checked the area and were unable to locate.
Thursday, Oct. 30
11:28 a.m. - Caller from Spike’s Junkyard Dogs, 75 Middlesex Turnpike, reports a past theft that occurred on Oct. 15 of $1,000. Unit Dispatched.
11:34 a.m. - Caller reports a large log in the middle of Cambridge Street in the area of Lester’s Roadside BBQ. Unit Dispatched, unfounded.
3:56 p.m. - Caller reports a landscaping truck has been parked on the roadway for several days in the area of Newbridge Avenue at 98 Kenmere Ave. The vehicle was stolen and recovered. Belmont, NH police were notified and will be coming to the station to process vehicle tomorrow. AT&T notified to tow vehicle back to station.
4:41 p.m. - Caller reports an erratic operator in the area of 29 Cambridge St. at Wall Street. Same reportedly threatened the reporting party prior to driving off towards Woburn. Police were unable to locate the vehicle.
7:01 pm. - Lahey Security reports a gentleman wants to file a report of a stolen mountain bike that was taken out of the bed of his pick up truck. Same will be standing by at the main entrance of the Lahey in his GMC truck.
7:15 p.m. - Manager of Rainforest Cafe in the Burlington Mall reports a male party refusing to pay his bill.
7:44 p.m. - Caller reports he locked himself out of his Ford Taurus at the Burlington Library on Sears Street.
7:54 p.m. - Caller reports solicitors in the area of Princeton Road working for Verizon.
10:59 p.m. - Caller reports black nissan left the Outback Steakhouse, 34 Cambridge St, and occupants may be intoxicated. Vehicle left headed toward Woburn. Police were unable to locate the vehicle.
Friday, Oct. 31
3:50 a.m. - Caller from Mulberry Lane reports an egg was thrown at their front door.
7:20 a.m. - Report of a male throwing a white bag into the grass by the highway in the area of 69 Middlesex Turnpike at Rte. 128 north. Police were unable to locate white bag.
8:48 a.m. - Caller reports a loose dog in the area of Winn Street at Rte. 128 north. Described as a small mix, possibly a Schnauzer. Officers checked the area, unable to locate.
6:40 p.m. - Person in station reports youths throwing eggs at cars in the area of Simonds Park, 16 Bedford St. Police located broken eggs on street but unable to locate youths.
9:04 p.m. - Caller from Marigold Way reports missing items from his house. Theft may have occurred over the last couple of days due to contractors being in and out of the house. Detectives to follow up.
Saturday, Nov. 1
9:17 a.m. - Manager of Ski Haus, 1 Wheeler Road reports someone is living behind the building. Seeking to have the person trespassed. No contact was made with involved homeless person. Officer observed what appeared to be a makeshift shelter behind the building and a pile-up of food wrappers, etc. Police spoke with business manager and advised them of trespass procedure. Further advised them to call police back if or when subject returns and not to make contact with subject until police arrives. Police could then assist with serving notice of “no trespass.”
9:56 a.m. - Caller from Skelton Road reports his 1999 Ford pick up truck was egged overnight. Vehicle was washed off, no damage.
4:41 p.m. - Hotel Supervisor at Sonesta, 11 Old Concord Road, reports one of her employers was victim of an indecent exposure by a male party. Unit was dispatched to the area. Police were unable to locate suspect. Female victim did not want to pursue any follow up or charged.
9:42 p.m. - Person in station reports his motor vehicle was keyed while it was parked in the lot of 80 Mall Road sometime between 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. Damage to passenger side rear quarter and door.
11:33 p.m. - Caller from Michael Drive reports he believes someone opened his front door and then took off on foot once he heard people in the house. No description given. Checks out OK.
Sunday, Nov. 2
5:30 p.m. - Officer found a Beagle mix in the area of 6 Francis Wyman Road without any tags. Dog’s owner was located.
Monday, Nov. 3
9:42 a.m. - Caller from Laurel Lane reports a thin white male in his 60s, approximately 5 ft, 10 inches, wearing a CVS baseball cap asked her if her house was for sale and if he could take a picture of her backyard. Police determined he was possibly an appraiser, but was unable to locate.
1:31 p.m. - Caller from Ski Haus, 1 Wheeler Road, reporting that a man came into the store grabbed three jackets and ran out the door fleeing in a blue Toyota Avalon. The man stole three ski jackets and one pair of ski pants with a total value over $2,000.
1:40 p.m. - Caller reports fire in the garage of a home on Garrity Road. Fire Department notified. .
3:21 p.m. - Caller reports receiving a suspicious phone call stating that her brother was involved in a motor vehicle crash and that he will be killed if she does not send them money. She believes that it is a scam. Unit enroute to investigate.
5:16 p.m. - Manager of Kay Jewelers reporting a $4,800 ring has been missing since Oct. 22.
