The following are a sampling of log entries provided by the Burlington Police Department. Where mentioned, an arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Thursday, Oct. 23

2:34 a.m. - Resident reports a telephone pole on fire. Fire Department notified. Transformer blew and the fire extinguished itself. Fire Department contacted NSTAR and Verizon.

6:18 a.m - Road flooded, 128 Middlesex Turnpike near Border Cafe. Police standing by while catch basins are cleared.

6:42 a.m. - Caller reports a tree fell and is blocking the street on Stonewall Lane. NSTAR advised. They were tree branches that fell across power line blocking entire street. NSTAR removed tree from wire. DPW removed tree and debris from roadway.

7:25 a.m. - Caller reports a loose dog, Simonds Park, 16 Bedford St. Police unable to locate dog.

7:59 a.m. - Report of wires down near the Burlington Tennis Club, Country Club Lane at 146 Center St. Wires moved to the side of the street.

8:17 a.m. - Motor vehicle hit and run in the area of Starbucks, 201 Middlesex Turnpike. Two witnesses reported seeing a red Pontiac strike a parked car leaving damage to the rear driver’s quarter and leaving the scene. Accident is under investigation.

8:26 a.m. - DPW reports traffic signal not working correctly at intersection of Winn Street at Rte. 128 North. Dagle Electric notified.

10:28 a.m. - Caller reports a wire down in his driveway on Winn Street. It was a cable wire.

12:07 p.m. - Caller reports a white man driving a black Honda Pilot exposed himself and fled the area. Incident occurred in the area of Marshall’s, 34 Cambridge St.

12:49 p.m. - Caller reports a stray dog under his deck on Gloria Circle appears sick. Dog has collar with tags and was returned home by the animal control officer.

1:20 p.m. - Caller from 171 Cambridge St. reports gas has been missing from their vans.

1:56 p.m. - Owner of Culinary Creations, 279 Cambridge St., reports receiving a call to request money for his electric bill which was a scam. No money was sent.

9:30 p.m. - Caller reports a possibly intoxicated male operator of a 2010 Chevy Tahoe, black driving southbound in the area of Del Frisco’s Grille, 92 Middlesex Turnpike to Rte. 128/Rte.3 area. Dispatch informed units and notified state police. Unable to locate vehicle.

10:33 p.m. - Caller reports she believes someone may have been in her home on Cambridge Street earlier in the day. Same also believes that her rear door has been tampered with and she is currently locked out of the home. On arrival officers discovered the mechanism for the door was not working properly and attempted to fix it for her. New lock being purchased the next day. Officers checked and neither of the other two exterior doors were tampered with. No items taken or moved.

Friday, Oct. 24

2:37 a.m. - Report of a suspicious dark colored SUV in front of the 900 building at Arboretum Way. Area checked out OK, unable to locate suspicious parties.

7:33 a.m. - Cambridge Street resident reports the adjacent unit is having construction done inside the home prior to 7am. Resident advised to seek a civil complaint based on the condo association rules.

8:53 a.m. - Caller reports a loose black lab dog charged her dog while she was walking past the intersection on Hampden Avenue. Officials were unable to locate the other dog.

11:46 a.m. - Caller reports erratic operator on Cambridge Street in the area of County Road. Vehicle was gone on arrival.

2:21 p.m. - Resident reports seeing the same vehicle parked at corner of Keans Road at 49 Fieldstone Drive the last three mornings. Car was occupied by a suspicious white male.

2:22 p.m. - Manager of Extended Stay America, 40 South Avenue, reports a snowblower was taken from the hotel sometime overnight.

5:11 p.m. - Macy’s loss prevention reports have a female shoplifter detained. Police arrested Jennifer Lopez, 44 of Windham, NH. She was charged with larceny over $250.

5:55 p.m. - Caller reports a crane blocking traffic in the area of Winn Street at 14 Sears St. Officer reports Middlesex Tree Service is moving these vehicles. There were several trucks from Middlesex Tree Service obstructing the roadway.

7:39 p.m. - Emerald Rose manager reports a possible erratic operator heading into Burlington via Cambridge Street driving a dark colored SUV. Police were unable to locate the vehicle.

7:50 p.m. - Caller reports a solicitor in the area of Josephine Avenue. Police were unable to locate the party.

9:03 p.m. - Police noticed two males sitting on the guard rail by tennis courts. Both were advised to pick up the trash they had thrown on the ground and to leave area. Same picked up the items and left the area without incident. One male party was transported to his residence in Woburn.

11:22 p.m. - Caller reports suspicious people in the area of Rahanis Park, 70 Mill St. Two people were advised to leave the area.

Saturday, Oct. 25

12:59 a.m. - Party reports a vehicle operating erratically in the area of Mall Road. Unit dispatched to check the area. Woburn Police contacted to check the area.

8:05 a.m. - Caller reports dogs are loose and biting people on Francis Wyman Road. A pair of Huskie got loose from their yard, one jumped on another dog causing a lot of noise. No injuries, dogs returned to owner.

8:09 a.m. - Caller reports a loose pit bull dog in the area of Newbridge Avenue at 98 Kenmere Ave. Dog belongs to resident of 31 Newbridge. Both of his dogs are secured at this time. Animal control officer notified.

5:12 p.m. - Caller from Newbridge Avenue reports the neighbor’s dog is roaming the area and same has attacked other dogs in the past. Police dispatched to the area and the dog was taken into the house by its owner.

5:18 p.m. - Female reports someone struck her motor vehicle while parked in lot at Sweet Ginger, 184 Cambridge St. and left. Police made contact with all involved parties, very minor damage. Female operator did not know she struck the other vehicle. Same is returning to the scene to exchange insurance info.

8:31 p.m. - Caller reports a silver Honda bearing a Virginia Registration was parked out in front of his house on Toomey Circle earlier today. Subject inside appeared to be looking at the caller’s house. The vehicle left and a short time later the caller reports that someone tried to open his front door. When the caller checked who was at the door there was no one there. Party was gone when police arrived.

Sunday, Oct. 26

1:25 a.m. - Report of a deer hit by a motor vehicle on Wilmington Road. Deer was moved to the side of the road.

1:53 a.m. - Caller reports a loud party with strobe lights pointing at their house on Marion Road. Police spoke to the homeowner, same is shutting down for the night.

1:02 p.m. - Caller reports they exited the ATM at Bank of America, 11 Center St. without completely closing out of transaction session with ATM. Suspicious white male that had begun talking to the caller is believed to have made two withdrawals ($200 and $600) from caller’s account at this ATM before the session timed out. Caller realized what happened while he was looking at his account from his phone. When he walked back to ATM, white male was gone. Caller contacted Bank of America and called police.

Monday, Oct. 27

11:04 a.m. - Person came into the station and reported his wallet was stolen from his vehicle while parked at Planet Fitness, 40 Ray Ave. on Saturday, Oct. 25.

12:27 p.m. - A 76-year-old woman believes someone came into her apartment on Farms Drive and stole a bill and picture of her in a bathing suit from more than 40 years ago. Suspicious activity was unfounded by police.

3:33 p.m. - Caller reports someone entered her unlocked vehicle between 9 p.m. Sunday night and 7:30 a.m. Monday morning on Cedarwood Lane. Caller says $5 was taken and a black glove was left behind.

5:52 p.m. - Resident of Eugene Road reports solicitor from Verizon continually knocking on their door after telling them no. A unit was dispatched to the area. Police were unable to locate.
