Police Logs: Man Threatens to Blow Up Building, Shoplifter Arrested, Woman Drunk in Store Parking Lot and More

Tuesday, Nov. 11

12:34 a.m. - Caller reports male party walking around his property on Oxbow Street. Male party invited to home without homeowner’s permission. He was sent on way without further incident.

1:40 a.m. - Motor vehicle stop in the area of Burlington Car Wash, 310 Cambridge St. Vehicle was stopped because it was dragging something underneath it. Same checks out and is a piece of large plastic from undercarriage. Driver advised and sent on his way.

2:39 p.m. - Caller reports a racoon in the area of Carey Avenue.

2:40 p.m. - Caller reports suspicious white SUV in the area of Prouty Road. Unable to locate.

2:42 p.m. - Nordstrom security at the Burlington Mall reports female may be drunk in the parking lot. Police arrested Denise Murphy, 47 of Arlington, charged with OUI liquor.

3:22 p.m. - Kohl’s Department Store security reports female shoplifter running across the mall parking lot. Police arrested Lindsay Lesser, 30, of Quincy, charged with shoplifting by asportation, second offense.

4 p.m. - Caller from Santander Bank, 182 Cambridge St., reports two red cans of gas and a bucket of wires on the side of Winn Street by Cambridge Street. Police discovered Items were two empty gas cans and a box of telephone wires. Item was not a device of any kind and moved off the roadway.

4:03 p.m. - Market Basket loss prevention, 43 Middlesex Turnpike, reporting a shoplifter. Female shoplifter to be summonsed.

9:08 p.m. - Caller reports receiving an email from a customer stating that he “was going to blow up your office.” All the information the caller had at this time is the male party’s name and email address. Also, that he lives in Arizona. Dispatch explained to the caller that an officer would respond to his location for further investigation. However, the caller said that no one is at the office at this time and he will contact the PD in the morning. Lt. was informed.
