Wednesday, Sept. 3

6:49 a.m. - Police received a call about a follow up on a raccoon complaint from a home on Gloria Circle. Animal Control Officer to follow up - raccoons left alone, everything checked out OK.

7:49 a.m. - Motor vehicle stop Winn Street at 14 Sears St. Citation issued for pedestrian red light violation and seat belt violation.

7:52 a.m. - Motor vehicle stop Winn Street at 14 Sears St. Citation issued for pedestrian red light violation and no license in possession.

8:12 a.m. - Motor vehicle stop Winn Street at 14 Sears St. Citation issued for pedestrian red light violation.

9:57 a.m. - Motor vehicle stop, verbal warning given for U-turn violation in the area of 149 Middlesex Turnpike.

10:06 a.m. - Motor vehicle stop, Wildwood Park 116 Bedford Street. Citation issued for crosswalk violation and broken brake light.

11:25 a.m. - Motor vehicle stop, Winn Street at 57 Harriett Ave. Citation issued for pedestrian red light violation.

11:35 a.m. - Motor vehicle stop, Winn Street at 57 Harriett Ave. Citation issued for pedestrian red light violation and inspection sticker violation.

11:45 a.m. - Motor vehicle stop, Winn Street at 57 Harriett Ave. Citation issued for pedestrian red light violation.

1:44 p.m. - Motor vehicle stop, Winn Street at 14 Sears St. Citation issued for pedestrian red light violation.

1:57 p.m. - Motor vehicle stop, Winn Street at 14 Sears St. Citation issued for pedestrian red light violation.

2:03 p.m. - Caller from 200 Wheeler Road is reporting “do not enter” signs are being removed by two males. Police discovered nothing appears to be missing from any sign poles.

2:16 p.m. - Motor vehicle stop, Winn Street at 14 Sears St. Citation issued for pedestrian red light violation.

2:34 p.m. - Motor vehicle stop, Winn Street at 14 Sears St. Citation issued for pedestrian red light violation.

2:37 p.m. - Motor vehicle stop, Winn Street at 14 Sears St. Citation issued for pedestrian red light violation.

3:15 p.m. - Reports of a motor vehicle crash, Cambridge Street at 1 Bedford St. Three vehicles were involved. There were no injuries and one vehicle was towed for a flat tire.

3:27 p.m. - Reports of a motor vehicle crash, Winn Street at 13 Locust St. Two cars were involved in the crash. No injuries reported.

5:53 p.m. - Caller reports a past assault with a solicitor in the area of Best Buy, 84 Middlesex Turnpike. This was a verbal argument between two panhandlers over who was standing on the median first. The issue was settled and they went their separate ways.

6:22 p.m. - Massachusetts State Police asking Burlington Police to check Rte. 128 North between Exits 33 and 34 for a woman walking in the breakdown lane. Police checked the area northbound from the Middlesex Turnpike to Winn Street, but were unable to locate the woman.

6:36 p.m. - Motor vehicle stop, R.J. Kelly Company, 55 Cambridge St. Verbal warning issued for screeching tires.

8:08 p.m. - Caller reports a possible unlicensed operator operating a vehicle in the area of 261 Middlesex Turnpike at 177 Bedford St. Officers dispatched a unit to the area, but were unable to locate the vehicle.

9:13 p.m. - Reports of a suspicious person, Busa Wine & Spirits, 34 Cambridge St. Caller reports an intoxicated male trying to purchase alcohol. Party was advised that a trespass notice would be sent to him from Busa. He has been verbally advised of the same. Party transported back to his residence.

9:25 p.m. - Caller reports wires down in the roadway in the area of 5 Makechnie Road. Verizon handled the issue.

10:13 p.m. - Caller reports a noise is coming from the back door of home on Elm Avenue. Says a power washer was turned on in her backyard. Police checked the property and the house. All secure, no sign of any trespassers.

Thursday, Sept. 4

2:17 a.m. - Reports of a disabled tractor trailer unit, 78 Cambridge St. Mechanic on scene.

4:18 a.m. - Reports of a suspicious man with a backpack, baseball hat, shorts and a gray shirt walking through yards in the area of 5 Julia Connors Drive at Peach Orchard Road. Police checked area but were unable to locate.

6:58 a.m. - Reports of wires and a pole down Leopold Street at Arthurwoods Avenue. Verizon was notified.

2:38 p.m. - Reports of wires and a transformer town, Arthurwoods Avenue and Leopold Street. Same area was checked earlier today. Verizon notified.

4:37 p.m. - Caller reports an unresponsive man laying under his car at 25 Mall Road. Man checked out OK, was working on his car while waiting for his wife to get out of work and decided to take a nap while under the car.

4:44 p.m - Reports of a man on the property of Mall Road that’s making the caller uncomfortable. The man does not have an appointment. The resident was returned back home.

5:07 p.m. - Caller reports a pedestrian was hit by a motor vehicle in the area of Lahey Clinic/Trump Building Driveway, 41 Mall Road. One female was transported to Lahey.

6:08 p.m. - Lord and Taylor (Burlington Mall) loss prevention reports they have a female shoplifter in custody. Ipswich resident arrested and charged with larceny over $250.

7:13 p.m. - Caller reports a grey pickup truck almost hit her and her son while they were riding their bikes in the area of Manhattan Drive and Morrison Road. There was no other description and caller was unable to give police any further description of the truck involved. One resident believed the truck may have been light blue. No crash actually occurred, but the incident was frightening for the child involved.
