Remember to Vote Today in Burlington's Town Elections

Polls are open 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. in the Burlington High School.

Today is the day to let your voice be heard through the power of the ballot box curing Burlington's annual town elections.

If you havent' been following the election coverage thus far, not worry. Burlington Patch has gathered up all its election coverage and provided links below. Spend some time getting caught up and then take part in the democratic process.

The basics:

  • Polls will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
  • Voting will be held at the , 123 Cambridge Street.
  • There will be a to support the Burlington Food Pantry at the polls. Bring unopened boxes and un-dented cans that are within the expiration date and be both civically-minded and socially responsible during the elections. Checks maybe made out to the Burlington Food Pantry.

The major contested race in this election is for the one open seat on the Burlington Board of Selectmen. The three candidates are Daniel Grattan, Michael Runyan and Virginia Mooney. The other race up for grabs is for a seat on the Burlington Library Board of Trustees. There are three candidates for two open positions, incumbents and and newcomer (click on the person's name for an article on each).

There are also two candidates for the Burlington School Committee. There are also two open seats, so this is not much of a race. However, Burlington Patch felt it worthwhile to interview both candidates, incumbent Stephen Nelson and Kristin Russo, to get their views on what they would like to accomplish on the committee.
