Reminder: Second Candidate Night for Burlington Town Offices Today
Interested in public office? Learn more at the Town Clerk's office on Monday, Feb. 13 from 4:30 to 7 p.m.

The Town Clerk's Office in will be open on Monday, Feb. 13 from 4:30 until 7 p.m. for residents to get information and take out papers for the Town Election on April 14.
If you are interested in participating Local Government but need more information here is your opportunity. We currently still have a number of open seats for Town wide and Town Meeting Positions – each Precinct has 6 seats to fill, plus because of reprecincting there are a number of one- and two-year terms open in each Precinct. Precinct 7 having been newly created, due to the 2010 Federal census, will have 18 open seats.
Any Registered Voter living in Burlington who would like to participate in Local Government can take out papers to fill these seats. To be placed on the ballot you will need to get signatures from Burlington registered voters by the deadline which is Feb. 27. The Town election is April 14 at the Gym, 123 Cambridge Street.

- Moderator (1 Year)
- Selectmen, 2 Open Seats (3 Years)
- Assessor (3 Years)
- School Committee (3 Years)
- Library Trustees, 2 Open Seats (3 Years)
- Planning Board, 2 Open Seats (5 Years)
- Board of Health, 2 Open Seats (3 Years)
- Housing Authority (5 Years)
- Recreation Commission (3 Years)
- Shawsheen Tech (3 Years)

- Precinct 2, 2 Open Seats (2 Years)
- Precinct 3, 3 Open Seats (2 Years)
- Precinct 3, 1 Open Seat (1 Year)

- Precinct 4, 2 Open Seats (1 Year)
- Precinct 5, 1 Open Seat (1 Year)
- Precinct 7, 18 Open Seats for different term lengths
Number of signatures required:
For Town Wide Offices: 50 signatures by Burlington residents required.
For Town Meeting: 10 signatures by precinct residents required.
