Selectmen Looking for Volunteers to Serve on Board of Appeals
Do you have an interest in zoning issues? The town could use your help.

The Town of Burlington is in need of some dedicated volunteers to help fill an important board.
According to the town website, the Board of Selectmen will be making appointments to the Zoning Board of Appeals. There are 3 regular and 2 alternate positions that are available.
The Board of Selectmen is seeking residents of the Town who wish to serve their community in a volunteer capacity. The Board will be meeting on Monday, January 7, 2013 at 7 p.m. in Town Hall to interview residents who wish to seek appointment to the Board.

The purpose of the Zoning Board of Appeals is to hear and decide appeals from an adverse decision of the Building Inspector or any Town Board, to make determinations in Flood Hazard Districts, to hear and decide petitions for variances, and to issue comprehensive permits under MGL Chapter 40B.
