Several Vehicles Broken into, Woman Passed Out on Sidewalk, Malicious Damage to Middle School Field, Rude Notes Left for Exchange Students and More
The latest entries from the Burlington Police Department for Saturday, April 11 and Sunday, April 12.

The following is a sampling of log entries provided by the Burlington Police Department.
Saturday, April 11
1:25 a.m. - Report of suspicious activity at the Hyatt House. One male and one female youths left notes of a rude nature under the doors of exchange students from Thailand. Police were unable to locate the youths at this time. Information and pictures left for manager. No crimes involved.
5:52 p.m. - Security from Sears, 75 Middlesex Turnpike, reports holding a man for shoplifting who does not have an I.D. Male has warrant in the system. Officers arrested, Mark Nelson Melanson, 52, of Lynn on a warrant.

7:10 p.m. - Caller reports two male parties out in the roadway begging for money in the area of 290 Cambridge St. at Winn Street. Both are are causing a road hazard. Police advised the men of soliciting hours and sent them on their way.
Sunday, April 12
12:26 a.m. - Hunter security reports a female passed out on the sidewalk in teh area of Kings Bowling Alley, 52 Second Ave. Burlington Fire was notified. Security then reported female party got in car with friends and left the area. Management at Kings and Tony C’s were notified of the incident.

2:05 a.m. - Caller reports youths hanging out in parking lot on Locust Street. Officers sent them on their way.
8:13 a.m. - Caller reports vandalism on the Marshall Simonds Middle School Property. Custodian was notified. Sometime last night malicious damage occurred at the Marshall Simonds field. A glass table used on/for the visitor’s side was shattered in the middle of the football field and shards of glass were scattered. The portable toilet was also tipped over and beer bottles were left behind. Marshall Simonds custodian notified and responded. The school did not appear to have been vandalized.
9:03 a.m. - Resident of Mill Street reports his vehicles were broken into and GPS was taken. Two vehicles were broken into overnight. An Apple iPad was stolen from one vehicle and a Tom-Tom GPS from another. Homeowner rpoerts vehicles may have been unlocked. Not other damage to either vehicle.
9:04 a.m. - Caller from Angela Circle reports finding two bikes in the back of his yard. Both were brought to the police station and logged as found property.
9:06 a.m. - Caller from Westwood Street reports his car stolen from his driveway between 10 p.m. last night and 9 a.m. this morning
10:15 a.m. - Caller from Donald Road reports his vehicle broken into overnight. Two pairs of sunglasses were taken. NO damage to vehicle.
11:24 a.m. - Another Donald Road resident reports a Garmin GPS was stolen from his work van overnight. Vehicle was unlocked and there was no other damage to vehicle.
12:07 p.m. Cars in the driveway of a Vincent Road home were entered into sometime overnight. Nothing was taken.
12:34 p.m. - Security from Wegmans, 53 Third Ave. reports three $100 counterfeit bills were in the bank deposit from last night. Officer reports taking possession of the bills along with photographs and customer information. Report to be filed.
1:56 p.m. - Party from Donald Road reports and stole a camera valued at $200. Vehicle was unlocked and there was no other damage. Resident believes it happened sometime after midnight.
2:11 p.m. - Caller from Donal Road reports a Garmin GPS, valued at $100, was stolen from his vehicle. No other damage to vehicle. Both vehicles were unlocked.
3:18 p.m. - Billerica Police report recovering a stolen motor vehicle from Burlington. Vehicle to be towed to Burlington Police Department.
3:53 p.m. - Caller reports while paying for gas at Carli Convenience Plus, 324 Cambridge St., Caller called back to report his wife saw the stuff in his car and brought them home. No items were stolen.
4:41 p.m. - Caller from 118 Lexington St. reports a possible rabid raccoon on her back deck. Raccoon ran off into the woods prior to officer’s arrival.
5:38 p.m.- Caller from Burberry, 75 Middlesex Turnpike, requests an officer for a possible shoplifter. Store reports suspect is a black female wearing a white shirt and jeans. Officers arrested Renea Lenita Webb, 28 of Quincy, charged with receiving stolen property over $250, larceny over $250 and attempting to commit a crime.
8:45 p.m. - Caller reports his accountant informed him that someone used his social security number to file their taxes. Caller requested an incident number so he can give that to the IRS to assist in filling out paper work.
