Singing Their Way to Carnegie Hall

Burlington High School's Select Singers perform for family, friends

20 students from Burlington High School make up the Select Singers - a group that submitted an audio audition to Manhattan Concert Products - and are now headed to Carnegie Hall for the performance of their lives on May 1!

Burlington High School's Fogelberg Performing Arts Center was bursting with melodious sound as the group took the stage to perform for fellow students, friends and family to raise funds for their upcoming trip - which will involved a three-night stay in New York.

In just 6 weeks, this amazing group of young people created a spectacular 2 hour program, featuring 20 separate 'acts'.  They chose the music, presentation, lighting and musical accompaniment themselves, choreographing everything from the ground up ... and on Wednesday night, they performed that program for an eager audience in the school's auditorium.  Director, John Middleton-Cox, was proud to introduce to the group, wasting no time with speeches ... and letting the presentation speak for its self.
