Here are some of the calls Burlington Police responded to last week.

BURLINGTON, MA -- The following are items recorded by Burlington Police Department. It is a sample of the types of calls the Burlington Police responded to between March 8 and 14. Arrests
At 6:47 pm on March 12, Sokmon Champan, 39, homeless, and Chin N. Bunk, 45, of Lowell, after an employee at Shaw's called to report a Hispanic man was stealing shrimp. Champan was charged with shoplifting, receiving of stolen property valued over $250 and other charges. Bunk was charged with shoplifting, receiving of stolen property valued over $250 and other charges and an outstanding warrant.

Thursday, March 8
Note: There were dozens of calls to Burlington Police on this day for storm-related issues, including downed trees, limbs and wires.

12:16 am: Tree and pole down across from #10 Scott Av. Resident at #10 checks ok, power is out in the area.
2:31 am: Report of a tree on fire. No cruisers available. BFD notified.
4:10 am: Caller reports wires down in driveway of 30 Carey Ave and end of the wires are burning. Fire Department is responding to handle.Second call for wires burning at 4 Carey Ave. BFD to handle that location also.BFD request Police Units to assist.
7:31 am: Multiple trees down on Tinkham Avenue, roadway impassable. Eversource was on scene and determined the lines were live. No ETA given. Residents of #9 and #10 are blocked in due to fallen trees. Resident of #9 advised of the live wires. Unable to raise anyone in #10. Cones placed in the roadway.
9:20 am: Caller reports he has been unable to make contact with his wife. Same is requesting a well-being check. Spoke to female party, same checks OK. Husband on his way home now.
4:00 pm: Caller requests well being check for elderly couple on Patriot Road. Residents check ok, no power in the area.
4:32 pm: Caller from Candlewood Suites states one of their long term guests spends an unusual amount of time in their public bathroom. Guest leaves odd items behind when they leave the bathroom. Male guests spoken to by staff about situation. Same stated he would handle it.
6:04 pm: Caller reports her Eastern bank debit card was stolen while in the hospital at Lahey Clinic by someone known to her.
8:26 pm: Caller reports that his son went inside Town Pantry and was inappropriately approached by the male party behind the counter.
Friday, March 9
5:55 am: Caller reports a vehicle in the garage with it's lights on for over 10 min. Requesting well being check. Vehicle not in the garage. Spoke with the homeowner who stated his wife just left for work.
9:59 am: Staff reports a male fell and hit his head inside. Bleeding from back of head,Wegmans staff already applied bandage. Taken to Lahey by BFD.
11:17 am: Bank of America requests assistance with a customer. Unsatisfied customer yelling at management. Party left prior to arrival. Management will try to cancel his account and trespass him.
11:40 am: Elizabeth Avenue resident reports white male operating a newer possible Toyota ,light green colored entered the unlocked front door and was surprised the homeowner was home. Two window screens torn off at the rear of the home which the homeowner reports as fresh damage. Units searched area, suspect was GOA. See officers report.
3:24 pm: Party attempted to steal a belt at Kohl's valued at $34.00. ID confirmed and party is to be trespassed.
Saturday, March 10
12:29 pm: Caller reports possible inappropriate behavior in Sears women's bathroom. Further investigation, and video surveillance reveled incident unfounded. A check with complainants' local Police Dept. results in numerous false reports made by her.
7:27 pm: Caller reports she was approached by a suspicious male at the Gap who made unwanted advances to her and then left the area. Party was described as a white male in his late 20s, tall and skinny with short strawberry blonde hair, wearing a navy colored jacket, brown plaid button-up shirt, and dark jeans. Unable to locate the suspicious male inside the mall. Mall security was advised of the incident and given the description. No crime was committed.
11:24 pm: Male and female party were observed walking in the middle of Bedford Street. Same were transported to a friends home nearby to stay for the evening.
Sunday, March 11
3:23 am: Unknown male party outside of residence on Lexington Street. Male party may be intoxicated. Male party transported to his residence in town.
4:52 am: Lt. Browne reports 3 parties running in the direction of Chestnut Hill cemetery and Druid Hill Rd. from 61 Bedford St. Subjects may have been throwing snow at passing cars. They were unable to be located after search of area.
6:17 am: Caller states teenage parties are throwing snow at cars. Gone on arrival. Searched the area but was unable to locate any parties. Obstruction of snow formed across the width of Bedford St. near Reed St was removed by officers and roadway is clear. One male party in the area identified, but stated he was walking to Shell. All clear at this time. Caller from Bedford St. to report her son heard the kids at 0300 this morning and made a video on his phone. Quality of video is poor but she wanted to let the police know.
Monday, March 12
10:26 am: 911 open line. Female caller reports she has a new phone and may have pressed something by accident.
11:15 am: Caller reports van driver involved in a hit and run MVC in parking lot of Market Basket.
6:36 pm: Caller reports a male party driving a blue jeep jumped out of his vehicle and approached her vehicle. Male party began yelling at her. He was mid 20s, short brown hair and wearing a grey sweatshirt.
7:17 pm: Manager at Burton's Grill reported a former employee came to the restaurant looking for his job back. Same appeared to be intoxicated and left the area driving a silver Mazda 3.
7:40 pm: Caller reports female party wearing pink hat in lobby of Extended Stay America is bothering the customers. Female was transported to the mall to wait for the 350 bus to Alewife.
Tuesday, March 13
3:03 am: Car fire in parking lot at 10 Wall Street. Fully engulfed upon arrival. Same extinguished by BFD. Operator stated that smoke began pouring through the cabin vents while he was driving so he pulled over, vehicle became engulfed shortly after. Not considered suspicious at this time. Same towed by Ned's.
2:07 pm: Caller reports a male party is standing in the back of Cafe Escadrille. Same states that he told the male the restaurant was closed but he refused to leave. The male is looking in the windows of the restaurant. Same is wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt, and white plastic bags on his feet. Person did not know the building was closed. Just waiting for a ride from a friend.
3:40 pm Plow truck driver advised a the homeowner came outside on Geddick Road and was swearing at him. Same stated she would not move out of the roadway.
Wednesday, March 14
7:13 am: Caller states she was intentionally struck by her brothers plow during an altercation. One party transported to Lahey for evaluation. Initial physical evidence does not suggest plow was involved.
2:18 pm: Party walked into the station lobby to report harassment.
4:30 pm: Missing 13 year old special needs child at Burlington Mall. All units notified and responding. Mall security notified. Andover PD notified to attempt to track bracelet on child. Narrative: Child located in the Gamestop store. Child walked away from his father while inside the disney store. Mall security, and loss prevention departments were all notified. Child was located shortly after inside of Game Stop. Child reunited with family. Child left with same.
