Tire And Bike Thefts: Burlington Police Log October 18-24
Other calls in this week's Burlington Police log include threats against a CEO and a man walking down the street in a hospital gown.

BURLINGTON, MA -- Burlington Police responded to three calls of bicycle thefts between October 18 and this past Tuesday, as well as a report of a tire theft that seems to be related to similar recent reports in area towns. At 8:58 am on Thursday, October 19, police responded to a call from a man on Beacon Street who said a tire had been stolen from his car sometime overnight. That came after a call at 5:26 am from a resident at the Arboretum Way apartments that three tires had been stolen from his vehicle overnight.
On Tuesday morning, Wilmington Police responded to calls from residents on a single street in that town about overnight tire and rim thefts. Wilmington Police said those thefts appear to be related to reports of similar crimes in Wakefield, Stoneham and Billerica in recent weeks.
The bike thefts have been a frequent topic of parents in Facebook forums for Burlington residents over the course of the past week. Coupled with a string of recent car break-ins in Burlington and other towns, residents are urging one another to report thefts to Burlington Police to make sure the incidents are logged.
