Town Elections are Tomorrow

Polls will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Burlington High School

Burlington Patch would like to remind all residents of Burlington that the annual town elections are being held tomorrow, Saturday, April 9.

Things to remember:

  • Polls will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
  • Voting will be held at the , 123 Cambridge Street.
  • There will be a to support the Burlington Food Pantry at the polls. Bring unopened boxes and un-dented cans that are within the expiration date and be both civically-minded and socially responsible during the elections. Checks maybe made out to the Burlington Food Pantry.

The major contested race in this election is for the one open seat on the Burlington Board of Selectmen. The three candidates are Daniel Grattan, Michael Runyan and Virginia Mooney. The other race up for grabs is for a seat on the Burlington Library Board of Trustees. There are three candidates for two open positions, incumbents and and newcomer (click on the person's name for an article on each).

There are also two candidates for the Burlington School Committee. There are also two open seats, so this is not much of a race. However, Burlington Patch felt it worthwhile to interview both candidates, incumbent Stephen Nelson and Kristin Russo, to get their views on what they would like to accomplish on the committee.
