History of the Tuskegee Airmen – Thursday, February 21, 7-8:30pm
Members of the Col. Charles McGee Chapter of the Tuskegee Airmen from Hanscom Air Force Base will present a program on the history of the Tuskegee Airmen. The Tuskegee airmen were the first black servicemen to serve as military aviator in the U.S. armed forces. This program is sponsored by the Friends of the Burlington Public Library. Admission is free and light refreshments will be served.

Beat the Winter Blues with Dr. David Mischoulon, February 26, 7:00 - 8:30 pm
Do you feel sad in winter, seemingly for no reason? Join us for a discussion of Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) with Dr. David Mischoulon, Professor of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School and Director of the Depression Clinical & Research Program at Massachusetts General Hospital. Dr. Mischoulon will offer suggestions to help you alleviate the cold-weather blues, including a demonstration of Burlington Public Library’s new light therapy lamp, which will remain available at the library for public use. The program is free and open to all, brought to you through a generous grant from National Network of Libraries of Medicine New England Region.

Library Closed for Presidents’ Day – The library will be closed on Monday, February 18 th in observation of Presidents’ Day. We will reopen on Tuesday, February 19 th at 10am.
Youth Services Programs
After the Monday holiday, the library has plenty to keep kids and teens entertained during school vacation week. We’ll have everything from movies to robot building, Mario Kart, and an animal show. You can also keep reading for beads and prizes. Raffle drawings are on Friday, the 22. Enjoy the holiday!

Tinker Lab - Thursday, February 14, 4-4:45 pm Mary’s been stashing trash just for you to breathe new life into as art or inventions. Let your imagination go wild! Grades K-5
Mother-Daughter Book Club - Thursday, February 14, 6-6:45 pm Join Amanda for a bonding opportunity for girls in Grades 3-6 and their mothers. This month’s selection is The Friendship Matchmaker, by Abdel- Fattah. You may pick up a copy at the Children’s desk. Discuss the book over snacks and make a related craft.
Teen Lounge - Friday, February 15 & 22, 2:30-4:30 pm Kick back with Nicole and your friends. Games and snacks provided.

Dads and Donuts - Saturday, February 23, 11-11:30 am Here’s a chance for working dads (and moms) to get in on kids’ storytime. Join Mary for stories, songs, and donuts. All Ages

Baby Storytime - Fridays @ 11 am (Starting January 18) For caregivers with children from birth to 18 months. Delight and enliven your baby’s senses with books, songs, toys, and puppets. Build brain power.
Toddler/Preschool Story & Craft - Mondays, Jan. 14, February 11, & March 11 Toddlers @ 10:30 am Preschool @ 11:30 am Join Mary for stories, songs, and a related craft. (No registration)
Toddler Storytime - Tuesdays and Wednesdays @ 10:30 am For caregivers with children ages 18-36 months. Interact with your toddler with your toddler during storytime to nurture a love of books. Be active with music and movement!
Preschool Storytime - Wednesdays@ 11 am For caregivers with children ages 3-6 years. Help your preschooler get ready to read. Enjoy stories together and build language skills.
