2nd Shooting In 2 Days Takes Place In Cambridge
The community is now waiting for two arrests to be made in the aftermath of these incidents.
CAMBRIDGE, MA — One person was injured in a shooting late Wednesday night, according to the Cambridge Police Department.
Cambridge Emergency Communications received a 911 call reporting that a person had been shot in the vicinity of Columbia Terrace shortly before midnight. Cambridge police, firefighters and Pro EMS responded to the scene and located one victim suffering from injuries related to the incident.
The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment. Their condition and other personal details have not yet been revealed. Cambridge police responded to the scene and are investigating. No arrests have been announced, and police have yet to release any information about a possible suspect or what led up to the incident.

Columbia Terrace is located in Cambridge's Port neighborhood, in the vicinity of Central Square. Police maintained a presence in the area overnight while officers investigated the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
The incident marked the second shooting in Cambridge in two days. One person was injured in a shooting near Russell Field in North Cambridge at approximately 3:20 p.m. Tuesday after Cambridge Emergency Communications received multiple 911 calls reporting gunshots in the area. The victim was transported to a local hospital, and no arrests have been announced in that incident.

Police have not indicated that the two shootings are connected. There is not believed to be any broader danger to the community as a result of the incident. The investigation remains ongoing.
