Cambridge Woman Claims Second Grand Prize In New Lottery Game

CAMBRIDGE, MA — A resident is planning to fix her home after a big State Lottery win.

Wendy Crawford won a $ 20,000-a-month for ten years grand prize playing the Massachusetts State Lottery's "Decade of Dollars" scratch ticket game. According to the MSL, Crawford chose the cash option on her prize and received a one-time payment of $1.56 million before taxes. She plans to use the winnings to fix her home.

The winning ticket was purchased at Butts and Bets on 1213 North Main St. in Randolph. The store will receive a $24,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket. "Decade of Dollars" is a $10 scratch ticket that launched Aug. 11 with six $20,000 grand prizes. The overall odds of winning a prize in the game are 1 in 3.47, while the odds of winning a grand prize are 1 in 2.52 million. Crawford is the second person to claim one of the game's grand prizes, leaving four remaining.

The game includes prizes ranging from $10 to the $20,000-a-month grand prize, which has a total value of $2.4 million when paid over ten years. Other prizes include $10,000, $2,000, $1,000, $500, $200, $100, $50, $25, $20, and $15.
