8 Hours Later, Cambridge Firefighters Still Fighting 4-Alarm Fire
An early Monday morning four-alarm fire at a Hunting Street apartment building has put traffic in the area at a standstill.
CAMBRIDGE, MA — A Monday morning four-alarm fire at a Hunting Street apartment building has displaced several, as firefighters fight to put it out more than eight hours later.
Fire officials said since the call came in just after 5:30 a.m. there have been no serious injuries reported, though there have been minor injuries because of falls on the ice.
Red Cross has set up at the Frisoli Youth Center and also have response teams on the corner of Hunting and Cambridge Streets to help displaced residents. Red Cross said at least 20 residents had been affected by the fire.

Traffic in the area has been rerouted, and it's slow going for anyone in the area, according to police.
The building is a three story brick and wood apartment building. According to early scanner reports, officials saw heavy fire on the upper floors when they got there, and the fire appears to have extended onto the roof of another three story brick building that houses apartments over the Sunset Cafe and Kimchi Kitchen on Cambridge St.

Twelve engines, seven trucks, two squads, the rescue, and a number of chief officers and support units worked at the fire, according to Cambridge officials.
