Boston Man Charged With Assaults In Cambridge, Downtown Crossing
The 20-year-old suspect was arrested Tuesday and charged with two assaults in Cambridge and a stabbing in Boston.

BOSTON, MA – The suspect in a series of attacks in Cambridge and Boston was arrested Tuesday, police said. Davongie Stone, 20, has been charged in a stabbing in Downtown Crossing and two possible stabbings in Cambridge.
Around 10:30 p.m. Saturday night, a Cambridge resident reported being assaulted as he crossed the street at Eliot and Bennett. He told police a man came up behind him, grabbed him and struck him in the back of the head. The victim sustained a non-life-threatening cut – believed to be a possible stab wound – and was transported to the hospital for treatment.
The attacker was allegedly with two other people when the incident occurred.

The second assault was reported about 10-15 minutes later. An Arlington resident told police he left work and was walking toward JFK Park to smoke a cigarette when he was stabbed in the back and punched in the face. He said the attacker was with three other people at the time.
The third assault was reported in Boston the following morning at approximately 12:40 a.m. Police responded to a report of a person stabbed in the area of Washington and Winter streets. The male victim was transported to an area hospital and treated for life-threatening injuries.

Police named Stone a suspect in all three attacks and arrested him Tuesday afternoon around 2:30 p.m. He is charged with two counts of armed assault to murder in Cambridge and armed assault with intent to murder, armed robbery and intent to rob while armed in Boston.
