Cambridge Armed Carjacking; Police Search For Suspect
Police are on the lookout for a tall masked man.

CAMBRIDGE, MA — Police are searching for a suspect involved in an armed carjacking on Memorial Drive. Police said officers were on-scene last night at the Shell Station in Cambridge where a 2017 Audi was stolen. The vehicle was involved in a crash on Ballard Place at Montague shortly after.
No injuries were reported in the crash. Police are on the lookout for a tall masked man.
According to Cambridge Police spokesperson Jeremy Warnick said witnesses described “a tall masked man with a gun dressed in black” allegedly stole a white 2017 Audi from the Magazine Shell gas station on Memorial Drive/Magazine Street.

"The suspect reportedly put a gun up to the victim’s stomach and stated give me your keys," he said.
According to police, the man then fled down Memorial Drive towards Western Avenue at approximately 8:28 p.m.

"A short time later, we received reports of a white Audi being involved in a crash with a parked car on Ballord Place at Montague," Warnick said. "Witnesses observed a male fitting the description from the gas station flee the crash towards Western Avenue."
Mass State Police K-9 have also responded to the crash scene.
On Wednesday morning, Warnick said, after an extensive search, police were not able to locate a suspect in last night’s incident and the investigation is ongoing.
