Cambridge Man Dies From Injuries In January Crash

The man was hit by a car on Mass. Ave. last month, authorities said.

CAMBRIDGE, MA – A pedestrian involved in a Jan. 13 crash in Central Square has died, according to the Middlesex District Attorney's office. The victim, who authorities identified as 29-year-old Samuel Bixler, was taken to Beth Israel Hospital after he was hit by a Toyota Camry driving on Massachusetts Avenue toward Harvard Square, authorities said.

The collision happened shortly before 1 a.m. The driver of the car, a 35-year-old Cambridge resident, remained at the scene.

Bixler died from his injuries on Wednesday, according to the DA.

So far no charges have been filed. The crash remains under investigation.
