Cambridge Nonprofit Receives Statewide Grant Funding

CAMBRIDGE, MA — Hildebrand Family Self-Help Center is among 17 Massachusetts nonprofits receiving funding through the latest round of grants from the Sincere Foundation.

The Framingham-based foundation announced it awarded a total of $200,000 to organizations working to address food insecurity, housing instability, and access to safe spaces for children and families across the state.

Hildebrand Family Self-Help Center was one of six organizations selected in the "Housing Stability" grant category. The Cambridge-based nonprofit works to transition families experiencing homelessness into safe, affordable permanent housing through emergency shelter, supportive services, permanent housing, and post-shelter stabilization programs. Founded in 1988, Hildebrand serves more than 300 Greater Boston families each year.

The 17 grant recipients collectively serve more than 400,000 Massachusetts residents each year. This year's funding round included seven first-time grant recipients and 10 returning nonprofit partners. "We are proud to support this remarkable group of nonprofit organizations and the essential work they do across Massachusetts," Sincere Foundation Executive Director Rebecca Reiner said in a statement. "Their collective impact strengthens communities throughout the Commonwealth and we are honored to help advance their efforts."

According to the foundation, grant recipients were selected across three focus areas: food security, housing stability, and safe spaces. Organizations receiving support in the housing stability category alongside Hildebrand Family Self-Help Center include Abby's House, DOVE, Homeless Prevention Council, One Family, and St. Mary's Center for Women and Children.

Sincere has awarded more than $1.2 million to 63 Massachusetts nonprofits since launching in 2023. The organization is supported by Framingham-based Sincere Corporation, the parent company of brands including Punchbowl, Lovebird, Timehop, and Memento.
