Family Honors 22-Year-Old Cambridge Man Killed In Woburn Shooting
"It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear son, brother and friend, Mussie Nirayo," a family member wrote.

CAMBRIDGE, MA — The family of a 22-year-old Cambridge man who died early Monday in a shooting in Woburn has created a GoFundMe campaign to help cover his funeral costs.
"It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear son, brother and friend, Mussie Nirayo," the organizer, Haben Nirayo, wrote. "He will always be remembered for his charisma, his ambition, and the way he lifted up those around him. He will be deeply missed."
The shooting occurred around 3:40 a.m. at a home on Washington Street, where police found Nirayo and another man, 26-year-old Tyler Olivier of Woburn, with gunshot wounds, the Middlesex District Attorney's Office confirmed in a news release Monday evening.

The motive is currently unknown and investigators don't yet know if the two men knew each other, according to the office.
"Mussie is survived by his brother Haben, his parents Amanuel and Askalu…. To know the Nirayo family is to love them," the GoFundMe continued. "They are special and unique people in their positivity and generosity. Let's return that generosity and help take care of them as they fight to overcome this tragedy."
As of Thursday morning, the campaign had raised nearly $21,000 of its $25,000 goal.
